Quick answers for Study Break Planner, from notifications and timers to plans, history, and privacy.

Common questions

Helpful answers, without the runaround.

No. There is no sign-up or sign-in. Your plans, history, subjects, goals, and settings stay in private storage on your Android device.

Notifications let the app tell you when a focus or break block ends, and deliver an optional daily reminder. The permission is requested when you start a session or enable the reminder—not during onboarding. You can decline and still use the timer while the app is open.

A study timer needs to finish at the time you chose, even when the device is idle. Android's exact-alarm capability helps each block boundary arrive on time. Battery savers, Do Not Disturb, or manufacturer settings may still delay or silence alerts.

Yes. You can set focus, short-break, and long-break durations; choose the number of sessions; place long breaks; and build or reorder the timeline block by block.

The active session is stored locally and restored when the app opens again. The app also reschedules a running timer after a device restart. System-level restrictions can still affect alert delivery, so do not use it as the only alarm for anything critical.

Delete individual plans and history items in the app, or use Reset progress in Settings to clear session history and remembered subjects. Clearing the app's Android storage or uninstalling it removes everything remaining. See the data deletion guide.

Cloud backup is disabled. Android may copy local app data directly during its device-to-device setup process, but Study Break Planner does not upload or control that transfer.

Yes. The app has no internet permission and its core features work entirely on the device.

No. Suggestions such as standing, stretching gently, drinking water, or looking away from the screen are general wellbeing prompts. Choose breaks that are appropriate for you.
